Jane Fonda has been in almost 50 movies and won two Academy Awards. But her successes don’t stop there. She also single-handedly changed the way American women exercise and is the picture-perfect example of aging gracefully. And at nearly 75-years-old, she’s showing no sign of slowing down.

Jane Fonda’s mother died when she was just 12-years-old, leaving her to be raised by her father, the late actor Henry Fonda. Jane tearfully recalled her relationship with her father and what it was like growing up with someone who she says was emotionally unavailable.

Jane Fonda is a trailblazer in the field of fitness. Her first workout video, which came out in 1982, sold over 17 million copies and was the biggest grossing video of all-time.

It’s hard to imagine that the beautiful Jane Fonda struggled with body image issues, but like millions of women, she also faced insecurities. Jane opened up about her decade-long battle with bulimia.

Besides acting and fitness, Jane Fonda is also passionate about her philanthropic work. Her mission is to eliminate teen pregnancy through her charity, the Georgia Campaign for Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention.

Jane Fonda may have about 50 movies under her belt and receiving a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, but that doesn’t mean her career is anywhere near slowing down. Right now she plays a bottom-line driven CEO of a major media company on HBO’s The Newsroom and is starring as a former first lady in the upcoming movie The Butler.
