Reality TV stars Giuliana and Bill Rancic have a long list of things to be thankful for this Thanksgiving. From Giuliana’s battle with breast cancer to the couple’s very public fertility issues, it has been a rollercoaster year for the Rancics. But fortunately, their story has a happy ending.

Giuliana was diagnosed with breast cancer 14 months ago. Although she decided to have a mastectomy to prevent the cancer from returning, Giuliana found out last Christmas that the cancer was more aggressive than doctors originally thought.

After struggling for months to start a family on their own, Giuliana and Bill eventually turned to surrogacy. In August, they welcomed home baby boy Edward Duke.

Like the Rancics, Lauren Scruggs is also counting her blessings this Thanksgiving. Her story began with a horrific accident that made headlines last December. After a holiday sight-seeing trip in a two-seater plane in Dallas, the then 23-year-old fashion blogger accidentally walked into the plane’s spinning propeller.
