Kevin James

From talent contests to Hollywood hits. America’s favorite funnyman Kevin James has come a long way since his days of doing stand-up with his brother. He sat down with Katie and gushed about his favorite role – being a dad and a family man.

“It’s just such a crazy, scary thing, but it was a lot of fun to do.” -Kevin James

Kevin James’ new movie, “Here Comes the Boom,” opens today. It is about a teacher moonlighting as a Mixed Martial Arts fighter to raise money to save his school’s music program.

“I wanted to put this big inspirational comedy together.” -Kevin James

Kevin is a big golfer, so we decided to have a little fun and host a putt-off. For every putt Katie and Kevin make, our friends at Fidelity Investments donated $1,000 to The Mr. Hollands Opus Foundation, which provides musical instruments to schools in need. Katie enlisted the assistance of a surprise guest, Kevin’s former TV dad, the very hilarious Jerry Stiller.

“That’s the kind of comedian he is. He’s open for anything.” -Jerry Stiller

Calling all moms! Have you ever said you didn’t want to take a picture because you didn’t like the way you looked? It’s something most moms can all relate to. Allison Slater Tate felt that way too, until she realized what it was doing to her kids.

From a mom who got into the picture, to one who got out. They say a woman’s work is never done, and no one knows this more than moms. There’s a constant stream of laundry to do, dishes to wash and lunches to pack. So what would happen if you, or any mom out there, decided to take a break from the thankless everyday jobs? What would your kids do? Jessica Stilwell decided to find out. A mother of three girls, she went on strike for six days, and things got a little messy.

”I just said, ‘I’m done.’” -Jessica Stilwell

Being a mom is a 24/7 job, but for just about everything else – from losing weight, to eating a donut to buying a wedding dress – there is a specific time that’s best. That’s according to Mark Di Vincenzo. His new book is called, “Buy Shoes on Wednesday and Tweet at Four.”

“There are a lot of statistics that have gone into this.” -Mark Di Vincenzo

@LisaLaughLove

I have to tell my sister in law that on the @katieshow@markdivincenzo said that the best time to buy a wedding dress is in December!
