“Modern Family’s” Sofia Vergara

Funny, fearless and fabulous at 40!

Sofia Vergara is funny, fearless and fabulous at 40! With the most distinct accent on television, Sofia commands attention wherever she goes. Her hit show Modern Family just picked up its third straight Emmy for best comedy on television, and Sofia celebrated in style.

“You’re not supposed to be doing those dance moves.”

Although her curvy Latin figure may be partially to blame for that wardrobe malfunction, the sexy star says she’s learned to love the way she looks and be proud of her body.

“I always felt like Cinderella’s sisters, the step-sisters.”

Well the quote of the day comes from @katieshow. “You can’t chop your boobs out.” – Sofia Vergara.

At the end of last season on Modern Family, Sofia’s character Gloria announced that she’s pregnant. But are there any real baby bumps in Sofia’s future?

“We’re dreading it!”

Sofia Vergara is much more than a beautiful actress. She’s a shrewd and savvy business woman and now the highest-paid TV entertainer. And while she may be flying high now, Sofia has also had her share of adversity, battling cancer 12 years ago.

“If you beat cancer your priorities change.”

If you’re as taken with Sofia as we are, and want to be Sofia head-to-toe, now you can! Sofia has a new clothing line at K-Mart and she revealed some of her favorite looks today. And you don’t need Hollywood money to buy them!

Next, would you breastfeed in public? 48 states have laws that support a woman’s right to breastfeed in public, but that doesn’t mean nursing moms always feel comfortable. Two women have recently taken heat for breastfeeding in public. Dawn Holland was breastfeeding her 20-month-old son in a booth near the back of a restaurant when a manager gave her an ultimatum: nurse her baby in the bathroom or leave. Adrienne Pine, a professor at American University, breastfed her daughter during class without stopping the lecture.

“It was the least disruptive thing I could possibly do.” –Adrienne Pine

@kaysis1

@katieshow @kapoors_s I’m all for breast feeding and I’ve even done it while walking outdoors, BUT. In a classroom is totally inappropriate.

@lmariskc

@katieshow as mom of 2 kids, 10 min not enough time 2 feed baby. Sad 2 hear judgement from others. U can feed w/out showing the breast.

Tell us your stories: Should women breastfeed in public?

Breastfeeding Professor: “There’s hope in this”

That first time that I nursed Avery in public was difficult. I pulled out my nursing cover and with my heart racing, fed her. I was anxious, but to my surprise, I felt much more comfortable than I ever thought I would. – Katie Crew Blogger Lauren Jimeson
