Take a chance. Dare greatly. Be all in. Show up…
Vulnerability was the theme today on Katie, where we met the inspiring Brené Brown. Brené says that daring to make yourself feel vulnerable can change the way we live and love. And she promises us that she’s not overselling the impact being vulnerable can have on your life!
“This is me. And I’m imperfect and I’m vulnerable and I’m afraid sometimes…” -Brené Brown
Brené goes on to say that preventing yourself from being vulnerable, which most of us do on a daily basis, can actually hurt us more than it helps us. She calls this “foreboding joy.”
“You can’t practice tragedy”

What is ur favorite moment so far? #DaringGreatly RT @dailywhip: “You cannot selectively numb emotions” @brenebrown @katieshow #dailywhip
So what do you do when you put yourself out there and make yourself vulnerable, but you still fail? Brené says that can happen, but that’s not the point. What matters most in the end is that you were brave.
“Courage is our value.”
Now it’s time to put on your red dress, ladies in red! Meet Jenny Lawson aka “The Bloggess,” a woman who Brené says defines what owning your vulnerability means. She dared greatly during a dark hour in her life by wearing a red dress and ended up sparking a revolution in the process.
“You suddenly have this power… when you’re honest about the way that you are.” – Jenny Lawson
