On today’s show, my two guests have stories that may shock you: they are people with dark, deeply-ingrained secrets that have haunted them since childhood. Only now, as adults, are they able to confront their painful pasts and figure out what impact these secrets have had on their lives. Kim Wohlert was kept prisoner by the memory of a murder that she watched her mother commit and retired NBA player Keyon Dooling suppressed the memories of childhood sexual abuse until he couldn’t any longer. Both join me to share how they are now rebuilding and working to move on. Have you had to face dark memories from your past? How did you find the courage to overcome and, most importantly, move forward?
