How many of you have experienced “the awkward wave”? When you think someone is waving at you, so you wave back, only to realize they’re waving at the person behind you? All of us, right? Los Angeles-based writer, director, and comedic actress Issa Rae has made a name for herself turning uncomfortable moments like that into a funny and fearless web series, “The Misadventures of Awkward Black Girl.” We are already huge fans and that’s why we are featuring her on a new segment called, “One to Watch.” We’re hoping to introduce you to the next big thing and right now we’ve got our eyes on Issa Rae.
